Linseed oil is also known as linseed oil. It is a vegetable oil (Linum usitatissimum) Flax, the mature seeds of flax, is derived. Cold pressed linseed oil is golden-yellow, hot-pressed oil yellowish brown.
Refined linseed oil has a pale to golden yellow color. The oil smells spicy to

note.
Fresh tastes slightly nutty and hay-like product, after storage rather bitter
and scratchy.
